Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic, manual (hands-on) treatment method aimed at restoring balance within the body. The fundamental principle of osteopathy is that the body functions as a single entity, with all systems and structures interconnected. This encompasses not only the musculoskeletal system, but also the internal organs, their supporting structures (fasciae) and the nervous system.

One of the main aims of osteopathy is to promote freedom of movement in the human body for people of all ages. When blockages or tension arise in the body, this can lead to pain, stiffness and reduced functionality. The source of the symptoms is often not at the site where the pain is felt.
Osteopathy offers a safe and effective treatment method to address these issues. Using specific (gentle) manual techniques, the osteopath helps to relax tissues and improve blood circulation, which contributes to overall health. The relaxation of the tissues also stimulates the body’s self-healing capacity. This means that the body is better able to heal and recover itself.

Osteopathy not only offers relief from symptoms, but also contributes to a long-term improvement in both health and well-being.
